Collision with person on crossing road

The vehicles that collided came from different directions. Also driving on a roundabout and collision with a vehicle on the roundabout.

When turning, collision with vehicle coming from behind

Collision between the side of the vehicle moving in front and the vehicle coming from behind. Selected if the vehicles were making a turn at the same time. Classifier value 1.3.1 must be selected in the case of a collision with the rear of the vehicle driving in front (collision from the rear with vehicle moving or standing in front). As a rule, collision between a vehicle turning left and an overtaking vehicle is also classified here.

When turning, collision with oncoming vehicle

Collision with vehicle moving in opposite direction when turning left or right. Selected if both vehicles were making a turn at the same time.

When making a U-turn, collision with a vehicle moving in the same or the opposite direction

Collision with a vehicle moving in the same or the opposite direction when making a U-turn Classifier value 1.3.1 must be selected in the case of a collision with the rear of the vehicle driving in front (collision from the rear with vehicle moving or standing in front).

Overtaking, collision with a vehicle moving in the same or the opposite direction

Swerving into the oncoming lane without the intention to overtake, collision with oncoming vehicle

All traffic accidents where swerving into the oncoming lane was not pre-planned. In the case of a traffic accident on a crossroads, selected only if one of the vehicles moving in opposite directions swerves into the oncoming lane.

Changing lanes, collision with vehicle in adjacent lane

Changing into the adjacent, slow or fast lane and collision with a vehicle moving in that lane. Also if the vehicle moves from side of the road into a lane or into the adjacent lane, and the collision with the vehicle moving there occurs when a crossroads is crossed (e.g. a major intersection).

Swerving into the adjacent lane without the desire to change lanes, collision with a vehicle moving in the adjacent line

A conventional traffic accident on a crossroads where the vehicles that collided came from different directions. Also driving into a roundabout and collision with a vehicle moving there.

Collision from the rear with vehicle moving or standing in front

Collision with oncoming vehicle, at least one did not fit in its lane

At least one of the vehicles did not fit in its lane because the road was narrow or the vehicle large and collision with an oncoming vehicle occurred. Also if the road had become narrower because of snow ploughed to the side of the road.

Collision of a reversing vehicle, excl. a parking vehicle, with another vehicle

All traffic accidents not related to parking where at least one vehicle was reversing.

Collision by a vehicle moving clockwise to or from a parking space with a parked vehicle

Collision with a petrol pump

Starting to drive without removing the petrol gun and causing damage to it, collision with petrol pump (only the petrol pump was damaged), etc.

Damage to the road or road facility

A traffic sign, crash barrier, road covering, embankment, bridge, culvert, etc. was damaged. If a road or road facility, other structure or facility or another item was damaged at the same time (classifier values 3.2, 3.3 or 3.4), then one of them will be selected at the discretion of the person who makes the selection.

Damage caused to another structure or facility

Damage caused to a fence, power line, house, etc. If a road or road facility, other structure or facility or another item was damaged at the same time (classifier values 3.2, 3.3 or 3.4), then one of them will be selected at the discretion of the person who makes the selection.

Collision with another item

An item on the road, which was not a structure or facility, was damaged. For example, unloaded goods, pushchair, etc. If a road or road facility, other structure or facility or another item was damaged at the same time (classifier values 3.2, 3.3 or 3.4), then one of them will be selected at the discretion of the person who makes the selection.

Harm caused to a pedestrian

Damage was caused to at least one pedestrian, wheelchair user, rollerskater, skateboarder, etc., excl. the events where damage was caused to a pedestrian by a preceding traffic accident of another type (e.g. two vehicles collide on a crossroads, one of which crashes onto the pavement and hits a pedestrian). If damage was caused to a cyclist and a pedestrian at the same time (classifier values 4.1 and 4.2), one of them will be selected at the discretion of the person who makes the choice.

Harm caused to a cyclist

Damage was caused to at least one cyclist, excl. the events where damage was caused to a cyclist or bicycle by a preceding traffic accident of another type (e.g. two vehicles collide on a crossroads, one of which crashes onto the pavement and hits a cyclist). If damage was caused to a cyclist and a pedestrian at the same time (classifier values 4.1 and 4.2), one of them will be selected at the discretion of the person who makes the choice.

Collision with an animal

At least one animal outside the vehicle was involved in the event, excl. the events where the collision with the animal occurred as a result of a preceding traffic accident of another type (e.g. two vehicles collide on a crossroads, one of which crashes onto the pavement and hits an animal on the pavement). If damage was caused to a pedestrian or a cyclist and an animal at the same time, the event will be regarded as damage caused to a pedestrian or a cyclist (classifier values 4.1 and 4.2).

Collision with a train

Any collision with a train.

Collision with an obstacle on the road and/or vehicle rollover.

The persons in the vehicle were also injured and/or the items in the vehicle were also damaged. For example, collision with a vehicle wheel that was lying on the road, loss of control of the vehicle and run-off-road collision as a result of this.

Damage caused during the performance of work, e.g. snow clearing, lawnmowing, loading of goods, etc.

Damage caused by separated or unhooked trailer

Damage was caused by a trailer that was not connected to the towing vehicle at the moment the damage was caused.

Damage related to vehicle that stopped due to an emergency

Collision with a vehicle standing on the road or in a prohibited spot next to the road, which stopped because continuing to drive was dangerous or technically impossible.

Harm caused to a passenger

The injuries of a passenger were caused by a collision with another vehicle, when the vehicle rolled over or swerved off the road.
